POSITION: BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER
Reporting
to the Manager Biomedical Engineer primary mandate of a biomedical
engineer is to carry out various activities a related to biomedical
equipment maintenance ensure availability of biomedical equipment ready
and verified for safe us in the hospital;
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible
for repair and maintenance of medical equipment and particular
responsibilities within the specialties of the appointee
· Carry
out planned preventive maintenance, inspections and commissioning and
test in the accordance with the department procedure/ works instructions
and proper documentations of the maintenance records
· Review outcomes of preventing maintenance actions and make recommendations to department staff concerning improvements
· Supervise vendor in installations/ commission of medical equipment
· Perform contract monitoring for medical equipments on contracts
· Making equipments data logging requested EDLR spare parts list and documentations related to equipment installations and commissioning
· Provide on the job trainings to junior fresh engineers on medical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
· Dealing with technical queries from hospital and PMC’s and giving advice on new equipment
· Ensure operational manuals and services manuals are available in the department
· Investigating safety – related incidents for medical equipment
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor /diploma in biomedical engineering
· 1-3 years working experience in maintenance of biomedical equipments fro diploma bachelor degree
· 5-8
years working experience in maintenance of biomedical equipments fro
diploma holders NOTE FRSH CANDIDATE ALSO CAN APPLY HOWEVER INTERVIEW
